08/26/2010 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New York Knicks have signed guard/forward Landry Fields, the 39th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

As per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

The 22-year-old Fields averaged 22 points, good for eighth best in the nation, and 8.8 rebounds as a senior last season at Stanford.

The 6-foot-7 Long Beach, California native posted 15.6 points and 4.8 boards in five Summer League games for New York.

If there is any category that is not an obvious win for any one nominee in this year's Academy Awards, it would be for Best Picture.  Sure the Departed is a 5/7 favorite, but that's hardly anything when we look at Helen Mirren and her "out-of-reach" 1 to 40 odds (which means you would win a whopping $1 for every $40 bet).

Who is to say independently produced Little Miss Sunshine won't be this year's Crash.  Last year, Crash won for Best Motion Picture, shocking those who bet on gay cowboy flick, Brokeback Mountain, as the favorite to win.
